How do I find out the name of my sales representative?

Do I need an RGA (RMA) to send in a repair?

No, you only need an RGA if you are returning a new, unopened item for credit. For repairs, please submit to: ATTN: Repairs Department, Synergetics, 3845 Corporate Centre Drive, O’Fallon, MO 63368. Make sure that you include the following information so that we may contact you with an estimate:

  • Contact name and phone number
  • Purchase Order number
  • Your customer number (if available)
  • Facility Name/Address/City/State/Zip
  • Description of problem

Do your products contain latex?

Please be advised that no Synergetics product currently contains latex.

What is the best method for cleaning my instruments?

The method of cleaning depends upon the type of instrument. Please download the cleaning instructions in our Resource Center portion of our website.

What is your return policy?

Undamaged and unused standard goods returned within 90 days of invoice will be assessed a 25% restocking fee. Items with the suffix ‘E’, ‘L’, ‘S’, or ‘X’ are special orders and are not returnable or refundable. A Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) is required on all returns. Contact Customer Service at 800-600-0565 to obtain an RGA number. The maximum amount of product accepted for return within a 90-day period is as follows:

  • Laser Probes      5 boxes
  • Light Pipes          10 boxes
  • DDMS                  5 boxes

Ophthalmic Warranty Information

Universal Warranty Policy

SYNERGETICS PROVIDES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN WRITING BELOW.  In its sole discretion, Synergetics will repair or replace any Synergetics™ product found to be defective in breach of one of these warranties.  No other remedies are available.  Specifically, Synergetics shall not be liable for consequential damages of any kind.

Synergetics™ Instrument Warranty

Synergetics takes pride in the quality of our instruments.  Unless a lesser warranty is otherwise indicated, all Synergetics™ instruments carry a five-year limited warranty, which warrants against material defects in materials and workmanship for five years from the date of the invoice, provided any such instrument is used for its intended purposes under typical conditions, and is not misused or abused.  KYPTONITE™ instruments carry an additional lifetime limited warranty, which warrants against corrosion during the useful life of the instrument, provided any such instrument is used for its intended purposes under typical conditions, and is not misused or abused.  The warranty on KYPTONITE™ instruments is voided for those instruments sterilized using a Sterrad or Steris procedure and for those instruments used in the presence of steroids like triamcinolone (e.g., Kenalog).

PHOTON™ Warranty

The PHOTON™ and the P2™ have a one-year limited warranty, which warrants against material defects in materials and workmanship, except for the lamp, for one year from the date of the invoice, provided such light source is used for its intended purposes under typical conditions, and is not misused or abused.  Failure to follow procedures or instructions outlined in the Owner’s Manual may void the warranty.

Vitra™ Warranty

The Vitra™ carries a three-year limited warranty, which warrants against material defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of the invoice, provided the Vitra™ is used for its intended purposes under typical conditions, and is not misused or abused.  Failure to follow procedures or instructions outlined in the Owner’s Manual may void the warranty.

Neuro Warranty Information

Universal Warranty Policy:

MALIS® Equipment Warranty:

The Advantage™ and the C.O.A.G.™ bipolar generators and the Solution™ Irrigation Module each carry a three-year limited warranty, which warrants against material defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of the invoice, provided such product is used for its intended purposes under typical conditions, and is not misused or abused.  Disassembly, alteration, or repair of the product performed by any person not authorized by Synergetics voids this warranty.  The warranty for the Solution™ Irrigation Module shall be voided if such Module is used with tubing or cord other than the MALIS® Integrated Irrigation Tubing and Bipolar Cord Set.  Failure to follow procedures or instructions outlined in the Owner’s Manual may void the warranty.

OMNI® Warranty:

Synergetics no longer distributes the Sonopet product line. Stryker now owns the product and is responsible for sales and service.   For Sales please call Stryker Customer Service at 1-800-253-3210 or fax your order into 1-800-999-3811.  For Service please call Stryker Service at 1-800-800-4236 ext 1129.

I have a product that is not working properly. What should I do?

When did the Company go public?

Synergetics USA, Inc. (“Synergetics USA” or “Company”) is a Delaware corporation incorporated on June 2, 2005 in connection with the reverse merger of Synergetics, Inc. (“Synergetics”) and Valley Forge Scientific Corp. (“Valley Forge”). Synergetics was founded in 1991. Valley Forge was incorporated in 1980 and became a publicly-held company in November 1989. Prior to the merger of Synergetics and Valley Forge, Valley Forge’s common stock was listed on The NASDAQ Small Cap Market (now known as The NASDAQ Capital Market) and the Boston Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “VLFG.”

On September 21, 2005, Synergetics Acquisition Corporation, a wholly owned Missouri subsidiary of Valley Forge, merged with and into Synergetics, and Synergetics thereby became a wholly owned subsidiary of Valley Forge. On September 22, 2005, Valley Forge reincorporated from a Pennsylvania corporation to a Delaware corporation and changed its name to Synergetics USA, Inc. Upon consummation of the merger, the Company’s securities began trading on The NASDAQ Capital Market under the ticker symbol “SURG.”
