Light Sources

PHOTON™

The light source that revolutionized illumination in vitreoretinal surgery, the key to the success of the Synergetics PHOTON™ is its ability to deliver light at high levels while maintaining the utmost level of safety, allowing surgeons to perform safer, more efficient procedures. With its Xenon white light it has the lowest phototoxicity risk of any xenon light source currently available.  The PHOTON™ also offers a high color rendering index and familiar viewing environment that provides correct determination of an object’s true color.

P2-PHOTON™

Offering a brighter and safer light source with better contrast and more options, the P2-PHOTON™ is a 100W mercury vapor light source with twice as much usable light as a conventional Xenon light source.
